How can Layer 2 support the implementation of Marble Projects

Maximize Performance

To ensure efficient utilisation of various projects on Marble, Marble Layer2 provides robust performance support. Therefore, we optimise the speed of both the consensus algorithm and the network, capable of processing up to 2000 transactions data within 1 second and a block speed of less than 2 seconds.

Extension Usability

As a Layer2 solution for Bitcoin, besides enhancing performance, it is essential to reduce users' transaction costs (gas fee) and lower the entry barriers for users.

In this regard, Marble Layer2 offers the following solutions:

BTC as Gas Fee

Unlike other standalone blockchain systems requiring their own tokens as on-chain transaction fees (gas fees), Marble Layer 2 has chosen to use BTC as its on-chain gas token to provide more convenience for Bitcoin users to participate. The native token of Marble will be solely used for governance purposes, significantly lowering the entry barriers for Bitcoin users.

Low on-chain transaction fees

As a Layer2 chain, Marble Layer2's transaction fees are close to zero, with the cost of a single transfer transaction being only 1/10 of Ethereum Layer2 project Arbitrum and 1/10000 of the transaction fees on the Bitcoin main net. The affordability of transaction fees can stimulate user transactions, foster the emergence of various project use cases, and promote the ecological prosperity of Marble Layer2.

Organisational Rule Protocol Protocol (ORP) Engine

As a Layer 2 solution, Marble does not only provides the underlying chain system but also offers a smart contract layer with an intelligent application extension engine based on the Organisational Rule Protocol (ORP).

ORP provides a closed-loop system of economics, business, and governance to help communities optimize their projects based on engine contracts. It offers a variety of business function templates such as airdrops, give-aways, staking mining, and comprehensive governance contracts to assist communities in quickly establishing their governance structure and facilitating positive project development.
